Happy New Year Everyone!
I apologize for not uploading here for a while. I was very busy during the holiday season. But now, I made a resolution to post here as much as I can for you guys ❤
During the holiday season, I think it’s quite inevitable for us millennials to purchase (or collect stickers from your favorite coffee shop *wink* *wink*) for a planner. From personal experience, its one of the essential buys for the season, whether it be for yourself, or as a gift to other people. Even though planning your day digitally through your mobile device may be something that a lot of people are up to nowadays, writing on something you can physically touch is still preferred for some.
I was quite convinced on the idea of doing the latter by one of my friends when I saw her planner and the way she writes on it. That is why I decided to buy my own planner, similar to what she had – The Hobonichi Techo Planner.

The word Hobonichi loosely translates to “almost everyday” and Techo means “planner”; so this would be ideal for someone who would like to document their life’s happenings on a daily basis.

I’m planning to use the bullet journal system to write on my planner. Click the link below to know more about this method.

I won’t follow all of the rules to a T but I will try to incorporate as much as I can using this method to fit my own needs. I encourage you to do the same as well
What should I buy along with my new Hobonichi Techo Planner?
You can go HAM with what you can purchase along with your planner. Here’s a list of accessories that you can buy along with your new planner!
- Hobonichi Cover A6 – 1500PHP
you can customize it to your liking! Artwork by Lowies Chew from Malaysia ❤
One of my goals after the year ends is to file my planners in a mini library for me to look back at how my year went. I’d like my planner to be protected by external factors that might affect the planner’s wear and tear and so, I decided to buy this. Aside from that, it has a LOT of compartments to put your other stuff you’d need for your planner.
- Hobonichi Photo Album – 320PHP
This baby actually doubles as a sticker holder which you can put in your cover. This is one of the fun things I’m looking forward to this year as I can add stickers to my day based on how that particular day went. ((((vibrates))))
- Frixion Pen/s – 380PHP
I’d like to keep my planner as neat and mistake-free as much as I can and so, Frixion pens are definitely a must for planner-writing.
- Notepads (forgot the price sorry huhu m(-_-)m)
If you happen to run out of space for your planner, this comes in very handy! good thing @Eri_BloodBerry from twitter and instagram sells A6 notepads that fit right into this planner! You can just put everything into place using yung favorite washi tape OwO plus, her notepads come in different designs! I bought the Makkachin notepad but there are many more designs for you to choose from! Check out her twitter and instagram to see more 🙂
So Joel, where can I get it?
I got mine from Crafty Lane PH. The ordering process was so smooth and I received the product in under a week! I will definitely order from them again. Most of their items are out of stock as of writing though but I have faith that they will restock as soon as they see demand. If that does not work for you, you can always go to Scribe. (They have a branch in SM Megamall) click HERE for their branch listing
How about you? Did you acquire a new planner for the New Year? Do you have the same one as mine?(hihi) If you’re a veteran planner junkie, how do you go about filling out your journal? I am curious to know! Please leave them down in the comments and let’s share ideas!
So that’s it for now! I will do an update blog in a few weeks so that I can let you know how I’m coming along with my planner. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me here or on any of my socials.
Thank you very much everyone! Have a Blessed and Prosperous New Year!
Love, Joel ❤
Hey there, Joel. I have a planner too. I have filled out nearly 11. But it’s in a language very few(or it would be better to say only J.R.R. Tolkien’s fans. Now. Tolkien doesn’t have a few fans.) can understand. It’s in hobbits runes. Sometimes I write something which I want to keep only for myself. But you know, it was always vulnerable to intrusion. And I cannot just stop writing. It’s the only thing I can manage quite good. Anyways, happy writing. And wish you a prosperous new year.

I’ve been journaling for a while using Abbey Sy’s daily entry journal but I havent used Hobonichi Techo yet – I think I’ll reconsider it, it looks really good and so many bloggers had been recommending it. D: How’s the pages when it comes to thick felt tip pens, does it bleed? Thank you for this post! ^__^ ❤
PS: Thank you for the mention as well~ my updated Twitter is @Eri_BloodBerry 😀

Hi Eri!
You should definitely consider the Hobonichi Techo Planner! I’m happy to report that I have been religiously writing down on my planner and am on my longest streak so far! The pages although very thin are very sturdy and do not bleed which is super nice. I’m so sorry about your twitter handle, by the way. m(-_-)m let me fix that for you.
Thanks again for the A6 Pads! I love them so much! ❤
