Guys (should) do it too, you know
Hi everyone. I hope you all are happy and inspired. In this blog post, I’d like to share my current everyday makeup routine.
Ever since I started to cosplay, I got very interested in makeup and how to use it. Since then, I have been constantly on the hunt for different makeup items that I can use, not only in cosplay, but for everyday as well.
I have tried a few items already and so far, this has worked for me. This is what I would usually do when I would go visit conventions in incognito. I will definitely post something different when I find something that works well with me.
Please note that I am not in any way, shape or form a makeup artist and so, this method may not work for you, so follow at your own risk. (lol) also, this post does not contain product placement ^^
Let’s Begin!
Start by using your skincare. If you’re wondering what I’m currently using, check out my current skincare routine here.
Next I go in with MAC’s Strobe Cream. I found this really nice to put on the high points of the face for that natural highlight. Put a small amount on the high points of your face.
Look at that dreary face. lol
Then, I would spot conceal. If you have any problem areas, feel free to use foundation. But I’m going with the (semi) natural look so I would just spot conceal to hide my imperfections and so that my healthy skin will still show. For concealer I’m going to use Club Clio’s Kill Cover Concealer in the shade Ginger. I applied it on my beard and moustache area, and on my blemishes. Then blend using your fingers or a damp sponge in gentle dabbing motions.
Here it is blended out! As you can see, I also put it on the inner corner of my eyes and on my eye bags because I have a little bit of discoloration in that area
You can set your face with a light dusting of any translucent powder or pressed powder to set everything in place, but I did not do this step anymore because I would find it unnatural on my face when I do that. Also notice that I did not cover up 100% of my imperfections. This is intentional as I don’t want to look too made up.
You can actually end here! To up your look a bit, you can add a little bit of Brown Eyeliner and Eye Pencil. Use brown for a naturally enhanced look. Here I’ll be using the Nichido Eye Pencil in Brown and the Clio Kill Brown Waterproof Pen Liner.
Lastly, put a bit of lip balm and set your face. I used the Vaseline Lip Balm and the Urban Decay De Slick Setting Spray to finish off the look
Then Fix your hair up and you’re done!! I like my hairstyle now because it’s very versatile and I can wear it different ways

Here’s the entire look in normal lighting, after 9 hours of wear, without the eye makeup.

Before I forget, even though you only wore concealer, please do NOT forget to take your makeup off before you go to bed as this may clog your pores and will cause you to breakout. Remember to wash your face before you go to bed especially after putting on makeup.
So yeah that’s it for this blog post. If you have any questions, comments, and other suggestions, please sound them off at the comments! Do you also have any daily makeup tips you’d like to share? Leave them in the comments too! I am curious to know what your everyday makeup routine is.
I hope you all are well and I hope to see you on the next blog!
